GORDON GARDEN
A garden becomes a place of refuge when you take your morning coffee and walk through the garden observing each plant, appreciating the color combinations, maybe picking a bouquet, pulling some weeds, admiring the placement of stones, getting lost in the soft texture of grasses, and marveling at the light as it animates all that it touches. Each season, every hour creates a mood, a reverie and an awareness of the passage of time.
Designing a new garden or remodeling an old one requires an inspired idea, a vision. Often an old pattern must give way to the new, decisions must be made about what should stay and what needs to be removed. In this situation collaboration between designer and client is especially important, and often will yield a place where spirit resides anew because people worked together with respect and a shared intention.
As the garden grows and evolves, as relationships are established, we acknowledge nature as a constant companion.
